Dakota Road (front - Scott Jibben, Hans Peterson; middle - Karol Baer, Larry Olson; back - Al Berven, Josh Olson-Baer)
has become known nationally for their stirring original music and playful performance style. They craft powerful stories of life and faith woven in colorful musical styles ranging from acoustic ballads to rocking anthems. Their songs of struggle and hope connect with people of all ages and walks of life. Individually and as a band Dakota Road has released over fifteen recordings with many of their songs being sung all across the U.S. & beyond.
Dakota Road Music
is a worship and music publishing, leadership and performance company that specializes in original faith filled music. Their songs of faith and love, hurts and hopes have put them at the heart of the movement toward using a wide variety of musical gifts to lead worship and to inspire people to "Do Justic, Love Mercy and Walk Humbly with our God". Their songs, ranging from sacred to silly, touch people of all ages and walks of life.

Duo Bios
Larry Olson & Hans Peterson
are partners in Dakota Road Music, a songwriting, publishing, leadership and performance company that specializes in original faith filled music. Hans & Larry have the creative talents of music leadership, a passion for justice and a vision for the church and neighborhood as welcoming places. They live in the confidence that "to each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good" (I Cor 12:7). It is this trust and their stirring original music that has put them at the center of a movement to include a diversity of musical gifts in congregational life. Individually and with their band Dakota Road they have released over a dozen recordings with many of their songs being sung all across the U.S. & beyond.

Individual Bios
Hans Peterson
Born and raised in Alaska, Hans began his life in the midwest at Luther College. Since Graduation he toured with a musical group to West Africa, worked as a youth director/contemporary worship coordinator in Stewartville, MN, lived in an artist cooperative, and served in a Catholic Worker house of hospitality. Hans' interest in learning and love for music led him to United Seminary(UCC) where he completed a masters degree of theology in the arts. He ventures out as a solo artist and with the Dakota Road band, playing both piano and acoustic guitar. Currently he lives with his wife Heidi, and their sons Nelson and Simon on her family's farm near Jordan, MN. When he is not singing songs, he is picking berries, keeping bees and harvesting hazelnuts.

Larry Olson
Singer/songwriter/guitarist Larry Olson grew up on a farm near Madison, MN and was graduated in 1985 from South Dakota State University with a degree in teaching . While at SDSU, Larry began crafting and performing original songs and in 1988 he co-founded Dakota Road Music, a publishing and performance company that specializes in original music. Since then Larry has recorded numerous CDs and written and published hundreds of songs that have been passed to the corners of the U.S. and beyond. Larry's songs comes alive with stories of his rural roots, ponderings of parenthood, stirrings from our global family and journeys of faith.
